You know it! |
Mr. Sunshine and I moved into our little house just over a year ago and we were warned not to go too far into the back yard because a groundhog lived there. I grew up in the country and am well acquainted with gopher holes, garter snake nests and fox burrows, but Mr. Sunshine grew up in the city and had no idea what we were in store for!
Well, last year we only ever got close enough to see this:
Giant mound of dirt, a.k.a. Pedro's old house |
And this year, PEDRO HAS APPEARED! In fact, Pedro, as Mr. Sunshine named him, has now come to make very regular occurrences in our backyard, just wandering around, and has even started a new home under the giant rock of death. Our only sad news is that we have never been able to take a picture of poor old Pedro because he is so shy. And we had a flood last night, so no idea if he survived it.
Pedro's new home! |
Are you still alive Pedro? Did you survive the flood? Did it require the building of an arc? |
Poor, crazy Pedro.
Oh, and we also have no idea if he is the same elusive groundhog as last year, or perhaps this is actually Pedrina. No clue.
With that being said, Happy Friday! I hope everyone is enjoying their creature comforts tonight :)

Not actually Pedro, but a good represenation |
